Global Schools Network Update
Growing global education practices for 21st century students
Top education leaders recently gathered in Chapel Hill to discuss opportunities, ideas, and best practices on global education and 21st century learning during the Global Schools Network (GSN) Leadership Conference. The two-day event featured more than a dozen leading school districts, national keynotes, and panel discussions from some of the country’s top educational minds. The GSN accelerates excellence in international education. Coordinated by VIF International Education, this diverse network of teachers, principals, partners, and pioneers in education are building a foundation for the future that give all students the opportunity to succeed in a global marketplace. Piloted in 2011 as an education and economic development initiative with the U.S. Department of State and North Carolina’s State Board of Education, Departments of Public Instruction and Commerce and the N.C. Business Committee for Education, the GSN now includes schools, districts and partners all over the world.
