THEME FOR THE WEBINAR IS: DISTRICT AND SCHOOL TRANSFORMATION
The District and School Transformation (DST) division was created to provide support for all North Carolina schools and districts to increase student achievement and reduce high school dropout rates, utilizing a Statewide System of Support. District and School Transformation facilitates a set of interlocking Roundtables (Strategic, Agency, and Regional) designed to focus the Department of Public Instruction’s resources on promoting effective instructional and leadership practices statewide.  

The voice of business is extremely important to this interactive discussion.  Please plan on joining the Webinar and actively participating!

Support to All District and Schools
Provides support to all NC School districts and schools
Ensures increased student achievement and graduation rates to prepare students to be college or workforce-ready
Reduces gaps among subgroups in districts and schools
Utilizes Strategic, Agency, and Regional Roundtables to identify common needs and deliver support
Facilitates the Statewide System of Support
Support to Targeted Districts and Schools
Provides customized support to districts and schools identified by growth, performance and capacity issues
Focuses on building capabilities at the district level so that the school districts better support their schools
Intervenes directly in smaller number of underperforming districts and schools to ensure a sound basic education
Includes services for Comprehensive Needs Assessment, instructional coaching, leadership coaching, community coaching and professional development, organization and leadership practice
